(no subject)

it smells like Autumn. I can't recall when this last happened.

I am envious. I am so ready to smell that beloved smell.

It was one of the few things I missed about living in California. (:

I hereby put you in charge of burning at least one pile of leaves.

Ooo. I've never done that before.

You can smell the onset of Autumn in CA, but it is a delicate and subtle fragrance.

Also, I have a feeling the leaf burning is a nasty job and you've just been pegged as a sucker.

I'm pretty well pegged already. (:
And yeah, there are ... I feel like I get 'autumn is on the way' smells, usually around November.

It really feels like autumn around here, but I don't think it smells any different than usual. What does Autumn smell like?

The scent I miss is the smell of rain on the Sonoran Desert.

It has to do with the drop in temperature and the smell the leaves make as they lose chlorophyl or dry out or something, but it's a little more complex.

I think I have some idea what the smell of rain on the desert is, and I think I'd like it a lot.
