We like both kinds!

This is for my mother who, when I was eight, swore that one day I would *like* Country&Western music.
Would you like a copy of the Cold Mountain soundtrack? I'm really enjoying most of it.
(Also, I have a new Johnny Cash in case you missed it, and if I like that I could probably get you your own copy of that too.)

Everyone is allowed an exception. Johnny Cash is a very good choice for country.

My Dad chose Barenaked Ladies as his 'Rock band I like' exception. I'm pretty proud of him for that, honestly!

Although I admit that I like some of the Old Country my parents listened to (and thus I grew up with) more than I used to. A little Dolly Parton now and then, Reba, Linda Rohnstadt. But I never cottoned to Hank Williams (either iteration), or Waylon Jennings, or a lot of the other staples.

But Mr. Cash, the whole genre was worth it to produce him.

And I think that's the way it ends up working--Sturgeon's Law might discourage me from looking, but eventually I hit that ten percent. With rap, the breakthrough was Consolidated. Or maybe the breakdown in the middle of Blondie's "Rapture".

I am glad to hear that there is some of the music you like. I will wait for you to like Juanes, and Shakira and yes I would like a copy of cold mountain. I guess I really like lots of different music as you know if you would like some of my new music I could make you a cd of it.? Love ya
