The main problem I have with Pandora Music Project (aside from the name, of course) is that I have no way of explaining to it why I might love Percy Sledge singing "When a Man Loves a Woman" but bleed from several orifices when it plays Michael Bolton singing the same song in the same style.

Which is of course why you should listen to Vitamin Cyrano, because boy that guy has taste. He's got musical acumen coming out his ears.

I'd have to say I like about all of Michael Bolton's songs equally. I can't really pick a favorite.

It saddens me that we as a culture seem to have lost what a "Pandora's box" is meant to mean.

I do not know the history behind the naming of the project--it may have been the name of somebody's daughter who really loves music. I give them the benefit of the doubt here. Which I cannot extend to the jewelers who also used the name. Because they did so knowing that they planned to be a commercial entity who would have to use that name and convince people that their expensive jewelry store was not, in fact, the repository for all the evil in the world.

Also? I hate that the story is yet another "Everything was just great until a woman went and fucked it up" meme.
