There are a number of My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult and Rob Zombie/White Zombie songs that *I* would call mod and groovy, but that's a far cry from Portishead's version of mod and groovy. I tend to lump Portishead (along with Thievery Corporation, Morcheeba, Hooverphonic, Esthero, and Daughter Darling) into the "trip-hop" category. Sadly, I seem to have deleted my trip-hop Pandora station, or I'd give you that link.
