cyranoSo today I got email from Meredith Hagedorn, who I had talked to a few months back about David Ives and local theater and stuff, and she says "Sorry about the short notice but are you available on Tuesday for a one-night-stand dinner theater?"
I said poo, I have to work until eight that night, until I realized that the $100 she was offering for the evening was more than I would earn at the airport after taxes and so I wrote back and said If the position is still open, tell me more.
She's looking for a husband and a lounge singer. I don't know if they're the same character or not. And I don't know if she's providing wardrobe. In fact at this point I pretty much don't know anything. But I'm excited. And singing lounge versions of 'Weird Science'.
And work may get cranky and take away my flying benefits for not working sixty hours in a pay period but if they're going to cut everybody's hours then they've got to expect that. Plus, they won't be able to cut them before I'm thinking of leaving for Seattle on Wednesday night. So fuck them. Right in the ear.
