Five Questions from Wilson Lizard:

1) What stage show would you most like to be a part of? What part would you play?

Hrm. Something pretentious and classic like Richard III would be fun because I really like the character and because I’m a big snob. But probably either Rosencrantz in R&G Are Dead or Mark in Rent. R&G because it’s such a clever show, and Stoppard is such a genius writer. Rent because it affects me so dramatically--it really squeezes my heart and makes me feel things.

2) Which article of your clothing would tell the most interesting story? What is it?

This one has taken me the longest to answer. Mostly because I’m trying to think of any interesting stories my clothing might tell. Hopefully garments don’t get too bored.

3) Are there any others besides Coyote?

I’m not sure how you’re asking this.
Others as in aspects of God? Definitely. If the Higher Power was nothing but Coyote, the world would be even weirder than it is now.
Others as in facets of my personality? Definitely, much in the same way. There’s the hearth mother part of me, the mocking trickster, the sage mentor, the playful juvenile, the prowling predator, the sullen isolationist....
Others as in totems? Not really. He pretty much describes how I see the action of the Higher Power in my life. Lessons learned through play, mockery and humiliation.
Others as in stuffies that live on my bed? Nope. He is the only one who gets to go to bed with me.

4) What is the best thing about where you live now?

Having just come back from an afternoon out on the marshes (Anne had never seen Rengstorff House), I’ve recently discussed this. The location of some really gorgeous natural areas (ocean, forest, mountains, salt marshes, meadows) very near urban areas (art, music, specialty restaurants, shopping, events...) is a really big part of why I live here. San Francisco is one of the prettiest and most pleasant ‘Big Cities’ I’ve ever seen. Portland is high on the list too.
However, the best thing about where I live now is the people here that I love. My friends, my housemate, people I’ve met through work, people I’ve met through MUSHes and gaming, they are the best thing about where I live. And they are the reason I haven’t already moved to Portland or Seattle.

5) Given all expenses paid, would you rather go back to school, or travel?

Wow. This one is probably the toughest. Sigh. As much as I desperately want to travel, to see things and go places, I’d probably opt for going back to school. Long term, I think it’d be the best for me, and if I could get a degree and actually build a career of some sort, in theory I’d be able to travel.
Now, if this is a lifetime gig, then.... gah. I wouldn’t want to spend the rest of my life travelling either because I’m such a big Cancer when it comes to being domestic and needing the security of a home base and friends to come back to and stuff. And I would love to spend the rest of my life learning.

Thank you!

Alas, no. The Dorothy costume went to the OSU Ballroom Dance Club's Hallowe'en ball about seven years ago, and has lived in my closet or a drawer ever since.
