My back is not seizing up, and I do have the Scholl's gel-thingies for my shoes (which are a blessing even when my back is not screwed up). But lying flat on the floor is one of the most painful positions currently in my repertoire, outside of 'the back of a Volkswagen'. The pain is centered around the area just below the scapula, which is where I landed, and mostly on the left side. It occasionally rings around to also hurt on the left side of my chest.
Still pretty damn sure that I didn't crack a rib, because I can still inhale.
