So. I was going to make this a poll, but it seems a waste when it's just a rhetorical question.
Which do you suppose is more threatening to the holy and special sanctity of marriage?
(a) Two loving homosexuals who have been together for twenty years and adopted three well adjusted children.
(b) Brittany Spears and her whirlwind joke marriage.

I got an eleven cent an hour raise thanks to the City of San Francisco Minimum Survivable Wage law.

I also got to help this adorable Edinburgh lass get to Eugene. And all she had to do in return was stand there and talk to me, about anything, while I forced the computer to serve my bidding. She says I'm her new favorite person and promises to return.

Of course that was last week before the ugly ice storm hit the Pacific NorthWest. Every flight to Portland today was cancelled before I left work, and only one Eugene flight was still standing. That probably didn't last.
And tomorrow doesn't look any better.

Really need to arrange some time when I don't go to work.

Just curious if you'd heard of/had any interest in the new A&E series Airline. Or maybe it hits a little too close to home...dunno.

Heard about. Have some interest in seeing.
I understand it's done with the cooperation of South West Air. They're kind of wacky.

The rest of us working slobs call this 'weekends'. I'm pretty sure you have them. :)

Minimum Survivable Wage Law, now that is something the whole nation needs.

I don't really think either is particularly dangerous to "marriage".

But then, I'm one o' them libertarian nut jobs who think the gubmint's got no business telling who should marry whom.

No, I mean a prolonged absense from work. You working slobs call them, I believe, 'vacations'.

I am much of the same opinion. If marriage is holy and sanctified, then it should not be implemented by the state.
I was using the example to contrast the people who think that marriage needs to be defended from the barbarians at the gate.
