I haven't posted anything for a while, which usually is an indication things are rough. On occasion I think things suck more than I can stand. But I'm always wrong.
More tired more of the time than I like. Alternating between wondering if I'm sick and not feeling much of anything. Resenting my job has become more of a hobby. And I'm no longer interested in hoping that the next paycheck will be enough to keep my life together for another two weeks.

I got to play Bear In Winter this weekend, which was fun even though it was much more draining than I'd expected. (Leave it to me to turn a widget-hunt into a Long Dark Journey of the Soul. The Monsignor lost his faith, then had it regained and negotiated the restoration of the Papal States.) The story was fun, the costumes were lovely, it was nice to see Jason and Anthony and lots of people I haven't seen in over a year, and it's always pleasant to be reminded how much I enjoy Gayle's company.

So my housemate and I watched the Super Bowl commercials. Thanks to the miracle of TiVo, we didn't actually have to watch the game, and in fact had to go to ESPN.com to find out who won. I saw commercials for the Partnership for a Drug Free America, the salute to G-Bu's new and better funded NASA, and one other commercial that looked like it involved an american flag prominently and very very patriotically waving. Luckily the network doesn't want to give anybody a platform to preach from. Unless they're preaching about buying beer.

*grin* Brad and I recorded the Superbowl with our ReplayTV and did the same thing -- only watched the commercials! :)

It was a delight to get to spend time with you too!!!!!

I did not partake of the Super Bore this year. Even the commercials. It was a great time to run errands, listen to jazz and cook. There was much swearing at the bread dough that did not want to rise.

Don't forget to keep a stiff upper lip, eh. Maybe buy some beer while you're at it. :-)

Well. Ew beer. But still, the sentiment is recognized.

I don't have TiVo, so was forced to watch the whole game to see the commercials. SIGH. My life is so very, very hard....

It was great seeing you!

Evidently NASA isn't going to be substantially better funded. They're just going to reprioritize money. People are betting that funding for, say, watching the ozone layer go away will be cut.
