Dear diary: Today I was pompous and my sister was crazy... Today we were kidnapped by hill folk, never to be seen again. It was the best day ever.

So I wandered into the airport CD shop (Altitunes) and discovered that a new musical phenomenon has burst onto the scene while I wasn't looking. Anybody, WTF is 'Chill'? Additional forays into definitions of 'darkwave' (which appears to be outre now) also welcome.

Having forgotten that election day is the first Tuesday of March, I may have to trim my vacation travel by a day and come back on the evening of the first rather than the second.

I was thinking of a trip up to Wicked City on the 13th but they're closing 101 that night and that makes me nervous. Well. So does the whole 'driving up to San Francisco' thing but that's really not the big issue here.

The earlier the better. It's still 2+ hours from there to my house. 5ish? I'd like not to have to deal with rush hour traffic. Portland is hard enough driving as it is!

Is there only one Chang's?
