Come Together Right Now
Nov. 8th, 2004 06:13 pmBack from OryCon, and going to work tomorrow. No more holidays until next year, I expect.
I got to see lots of people I hadn't seen for a very long time, and had fun. I've got my membership for next year.
I'm still not that good at cons, in general. I don't invite myself to things, and room parties are still too crowded and unpleasant, and my default assumption for people who look busy is that I should not busy them up further.
Luckily, I'm good enough at cons to justify the $25. (: Plus I got to go to Chang's and Powell's, so the required Portland visits were made. And I asked a cute girl out.

Date: 2004-11-09 04:24 am (UTC)And next time you're in Renton, we have what my coworker Steve, who has lived in Portland and Seattle and is hard to please, considers the best Chang's in the chain. (The best used to be the Capitol Hill Chang's, but it closed due to lease issues, and the good chef is now in Renton.) It's yummy. Sometimes we take a long lunch and drive down.
(We don't have a better bookstore than Powell's, though, so Portland still wins that.)
