So once again I've spent the morning socializing with people I never see and watching cartoons instead of getting ready for work and now it's almost time to leave and I need a shower and breakfast and maybe lunch oh and dinner too and I haven't written the synopsis for last week's gaming session (which went well despite my total craptitude) nor in fact put away dishes or, you know, the stuff that needs to get done.

In other news, it's a good thing I got to bed at a reasonable hour because at nine sharp the roof cleaning guys were making heavy noisy stompy noises Right Over My Head. I forgave them because I imagined they were all hunky plus it was raining so it sucked to be them.

In other news, the house now smells like fried onions and breakfast is at least started.

And in other news, I'm strongly considering joining 24 Hour Fitness as a prod, and scheduling.... two days a week? Three days? What's sane and reasonable, people who actually excercize? Two or three days a week where I go to the gym after work for a sane and reasonable period of time. If I can't think up a good reason not to by tomorrow, I just may do it.

In other news, there is no real news.

In other other news, I'm thinking of listening to kd lang in the car today. That is all.

Three days a week for an hour each time is sane and reasonable. Divide that hour into 20 minutes of some sort of cardio-friendly thing, twenty minutes of lifting fairly light things and putting them back down, and twenty minutes of changing clothing and then changing back.

Less than 3% of your waking hours.

You won't have ohmigawd - imahunk results, but you will see marked ones. And, if you take a book, 20 minutes of cardio stuff becomes 20 minutes of somewhat distracted reading. Although you can just look at the pretty people, which is what I do.

And, I should say, I don't favor the sane and reasonable approach. I favor the 90 minute / five or six days a week approach. I don't get to do that, lately, but that's what I favor. I find that my mind is a quiet and calm place after I wring me out for an hour and a bit, and that various bits and pieces of me get touched rather more often when they are smoothly bumpy. YMMV.

I'm not interested i omigod results. (: I'm interested in a program I'll actually stick to, and can escalate later. (Plus, after work for me is about midnight. I dunno how many or how pretty they'll be at that time. But there should be very little time waiting for equipment.)

Ninety minutes five or six times a day would likely kill me. I don't have the obsessive/compulsive energy reserves you seem to. (: And my bits and pieces couldn't be touched *less* often at this point, so that's not too much of a concern. (:

Three days a week. You'd want to do both weights and cardio. And don't be afraid to work up to heavy on the weights--its damned good for you, builds muscle which then burns fat faster. :)

And I'm not O/C about it; I found things I like to do, and do those. No more O/C than masturbation.

I do 20 mins of cardio, 2-3 times a week. Stretching well before is essential. Yoga is addictive and very good. Find a beginner class. I haven't changed my eating habits, and have steadily lost about a pound a month for the last 2.5 years.
