I'm finally home, ended up walking rather than waiting an hour for the next train. We both pulled into the station at more or less the same time. But my feet are definitely not used to hour long strolls.
Tonight was Jeff's science fiction game, and first contact. It slimed on my helmet; I was not impressed. He does a very good job of creating atmosphere, and played my six year old son wonderfully. I'm thinking that I might have another, if it would be half as cool.
I *think* I have a job, at 25% of my starting pay at my first job, two and a half years of experience earlier. It'd be in San Carlos, so I'd probably spend 90 minutes each way commuting. I think everybody who works at a temp agency is required to smoke crack, move seventy miles an hour and perform at least thirteen simultaneous tasks. Of course I forgot all about the I-9 stuff and so I need a copy of my birth certificate or Social Security Card (I really wish I could find the one they issued me back when they still said, right on the card, that they weren't to be used for identification) again.
My brother was rushed to the hospital today for some sort of visceral problem. No message in email or on the answering machine so I'm guessing there's no word.
And, just as an aside, wintergreen schnapps is pretty nasty stuff.
