It's the ancient curse, the final verse, the weight at the end of the chain

The 'mate and I were over at Jon & Beth's tonight (Slimy House) and I soaked in the hot tub for a while and we left fairly late. Rather, we almost did. I had my arms full of crap, couldn't see in front of me, stepped off the porch and the next thing I knew I was curled up in the driveway with my crap scattered all around me and both feet, ankles and calves throbbing. Nothing appears broken or sprained at this point, just some heavy bruising. Both legs strongly resent weight being put on them, but I made it from the car to the couch without serious incident.
But still. owie.
I don't think I'll want to wear my Docs tomorrow. My foot and opposite calf are swelling and discolouring prettily.
