Finally got to see the housemate tonight--she came home and sat with me for a while before we dragged our sorry asses to bed.
Latest shock and surprise report. White House spokesfungi report that Bill Maher deserves what he got and "There are reminders to all Americans that they need to watch what they say, watch what they do," because after all that First Amendment thingie doesn't apply to folks who we don't agree with. Like Tom Brokaw. Or pesky reporters who say 'Gee, the Armed Forces don't think that the President, Air Force One or the White House were targets in the hijackings....' I am, however, at least mildly reassured by the fact that the President has come out and said that there are going to be covert dirty-hands jobs and that we'll probably be lied to in the interest of winning this war.
Sore as hell, after a day spent on my feet or on my bike (It's been some three years since I worked at Tower and regularly did this.) and so I've been lying down a lot, lower half elevated, and taking analgesics. And after a weekend of goofing off, it's back to work on working in the morning.
Reports from the Feng Shui game sound cool. Maybe next time.

It was very warm today. I didn't do very much that involved movement--made a few follow up calls on some jobs and sent resumes out for others, read some of Mark's lovely game book (I was amused to find a character named Chloe Markham in it) and drank a lot of water and diet cola. But I had a housemate--she wasn't feeling well and stayed home today.
Tonight I had Luc and his ladywife over for Angel night, and we were very pleased with Joss' cleverness. And he and I both admired how Fred was being integrated into the current plotline. And we all loved Skip.
Later, I finally admitted that my financial situation was so completely abgefuckt that it would be terribly indulgent of me to think I was still going to be able to attend OryCon this year, no matter how badly I'd like to pretend that I could go.
And I'm not happy about it, in case anybody should ask.
