Or whoever wants to stand next to me
Nov. 6th, 2001 12:31 amWas going to bed. Failed. So instead a quick run on my day, hoping to remember all the stuff I wanted to mention.
I'm working ten to six at the shop now, which basically covers all the time we're open and means I can sleep an hour later. Alas, I took this as an excuse to stay up three hours later the night before. q:
But I was on time. So no worries there. There was no Mei for lunch, due to scheduling problems, but we postponed it until tomorrow which was fine given that there was an amazing dinner after work.
There's some Italian place across the street from Macy's in Sunnyvale that reminds me a lot of Pro Bono. It's called Il Postale (Not Il Postino, which is the movie) and I had a most amazing dinner there on my boss' tab because this was our 'thank god it's over' dinner. There were delicately yummy little meat/cheese/olive/artichoke niblets on an appetiser plate, and then some gorgeous soup that Albert and Leslie and I made appreciative noises over all the while we ate it. Oh, and yum, some nice pizza (pepperoni and wild boar sausage and some of that freaky veggie pizza that Daria likes)and very tender penne with chicken and broccoli and a pesto/asparagus spaghetti before there was Bailey's and a bowl of berries with Zabaglione for dessert. Num num num.
The write up came out while I was at work, and after Mei's dance class we went to feed her because she was hongry and ready to eat our sofa. So I haven't seen Angel yet, except for watching Charisma Carpenter get fed on. Looking forward to that. And Buffy tomorrow. And 24. And MacBeth. And Gilmore Girls. God, too much television.
