So I got the car capped washed and ready to drive to work, thanks to advice from Fuse and aid from Tersa.
She drove me to WalMart, where we stood in line a really really long time after failing to find oil caps. They pointed out where they were. We waited in line a really long time to ask for the Strunk's catalog that told us what makes and models particular Strunk's parts were designed to fit. (We discovered that, according to this catalog, Strunk's didn't make parts for any Honda later than 1991.)
And so we failed to find an oil cap there. So I stood in line a really long time with the oil and engine degreaser we actually /had/ found.
A brief aside. I'm not the biggest fan of WalMarts. Way too many people, way too small spaces, way too much stupidity, and sometimes some really frightening products. (Good lord. Somebody actually /buys/ that?) So apparently while I was waiting in line, surrounded by the seventeen Christmas angels every one of which had been started by a small child that was currently busy knocking over papier-mache reindeer while his mother said 'John, what are you doing? Stop that.' I looked a lot like hell and Tersa said "Let's just go to Kragen's. Put that stuff down." And I nodded and said that sounded like a fine idea.
So we went to Kragen's and grabbed all the stuff in about ten minutes and then went home.

Dammit.

When I went to work at Debbie's a week and a half ago, Debbie said 'Hey, why don't you have some free tickets to that cool renfair up in Marin? They're only good for September 29th but maybe you could go up after work--you'll be half way there already.' and I said 'Hey thanks!' thinking that even if I couldn't go there were friends who'd really enjoy it. And then the tickets disappeared. I couldn't find them anywhere. I tore apart my room, the costume shop, my backpack, my car.... you get the picture. Last weekend Debbie and I cursed the tickets and she said 'They'll probably show up on Monday.' Well they're late. I found them two minutes ago on the wine rack.
