Part of the miracles you see in every hour

So today, the station still swelling at the seams from holiday travellers, Renee stationed Amanda (who has been at SkyWest nearly two weeks longer than I) and me at Gate 2. I was a little nervous, but suspected we could handle things despite our inexperience. And then Amanda called in sick. So I was at the gate by myself.
But Hollis and Renee, my supervisors, stopped by to give me extra hands during the actual boarding process. Things went very stressfully, but at the end of the day nobody was dead and people had gone more or less where they wanted to.
And Hollis said 'This is the first time I've worked with you since training. You're doing well.'
In addition, I had my 90 day review today where I got glowing marks, except for my 'pattern' of both sick days I took being on a Thursday, which got me a verbal warning. I'm dubious about two points creating a pattern, but *shrug* wtf.
