Disappointment of the day: Sour Skittles are just regular skittles dusted with citric acid. q:
Disappointment of the week: Only a month after our last shift bid, we're gearing up for another one, and so my hours and days at work are once again up in the air. Plus they're getting rid of my medical insurance provider as of the first of the year, which means I have to start all over with talking to doctors about what my medicating habits have been for fifteen years and how they're going to monkey with them and whether I'm allowed to go back on meds without seeing a counselor and all that crap. Which once again makes me wonder if there's any significant difference in my mood and behavior when I'm off the meds and if I'm going through all this crap for nothing.

But in Safeway today a pretty girl hit on me. Well. She commented on my Good Vibrations t-shirt, asked me if I was 'interesting', and invited me to a Palo Alto munch on Wednesday nights. And we talked long enough to thaw my frozen dinner entree.

Plus the housemate made yummy chicken soup for dinner.

Edit
Of course I forgot the entire reason I was going to write up a post because it pissed me off so much that I blocked it out.
Yesterday afternoon I was assaulted by my first passenger. Because of the weather, many flights were delayed. All of our planes are too small to be accessed from the terminal--all of them require either stairs or elevator access. And the elevator at Gate 78 is always broken, or about to break. It--Christ, this is a story that requires too much telling, and I already told it in the 'Irregular Operations Report'. Allow me to sum up. A passenger who needed special attention landed ten minutes before her connecting flight departed. Doors close ten minutes before departure time so I told her we'd get her rebooked because even if we could get her up the stairs with her crutches and cast, she'd never make it. She was verbally abusive, then when I politely agreed with her assertions about my character and my heritage, she became physically abusive and started hitting me with her crutches. I quickly passed her off to another agent, went to the supervisors' office, wrote my report, and left for home.
The traffic was blessedly light for an afternoon on 101, and there was a de Victoria mass in the stereo. The sun was going down, and the quality of light made it look like Grace.
