Riding high upon a deep depression
Nov. 19th, 2004 08:11 pmTuesday: Interview
Wednesday: Offered position, informed that the transfer date would be discussed with my supervisors in customer service and I'd come over for training 'as soon as I could be spared'.
Thursday: "So we pulled some strings. You're starting Monday." Uh. Okay. But I don't work Mondays. "You do next week."
That was unexpected. Um. So another one-day weekend, and then it sounds like Monday to Friday of next week is my introduction to Operations, working (conveniently) from six to two-thirty. I think. That may change Tuesday. But probably the week after that I'll settle into my regular Tuesday to Saturday two-thirty until it's done routine.
Last night there was dinner with Cindy, and by five o'clock I was already starting to doze off. It's like somebody cut the strings on the marionette and there was absolutely no forward momentum. I tried to answer email and write this entry but I couldn't stay awake. And I couldn't gather the energy to get off the couch. So I dozed, woke up, wrote a sentence ro two, dozed, woke up, etc etc until Tersa picked me up off the furniture and sent me to bed.
And tomorrow is my last day in customer service. Weird.
