In my current vitamin supplement (Avon's Men's Complete) I'm getting 240 mcg of Chromium (as chromium brown rice chelate). This supplement my mom just sent me has 200 mcg of Chromium (as Chromax Chromium Picolinate). Combined, that would give me about 350% of the USRDA of Chromium, in various forms. Do I need to worry about that being too much? Most of the information I see says I shouldn't worry if I'm under a thousand mcg a day. But I'm naturally worrisome.

So I had tofu and carrots that needed to be used up, and pureed squash that I wanted to try on something. So I made up some sort of curry squash tofu thing, which with a little bit of lime pickle turned out really really well.
And I put it in plastic containers for heating and eating before I hit the road. And there, sitting on the shelf of the refrigerator, eyeing me reproachfully, was the bag of carrots. Uncooked and uncurried.
Bah.

Weather in Medford--highs in the seventies and showers. Weather in Bradenton--highs in the nineties. I need to go buy a cheap plastic mac or something, and some sort of waterproof hat. Perhaps something with a brim, to shed the dewy drops. And definitely a hat for Bradenton, as I'm hoping to do some gardening while I'm there. And Bullfrog, to shed the burnished rays.

I had a CD on reserve at the library that showed up earlier this week, so I went in to pick it up. And since I'll be out of town for two or three weeks, I of course maxed out my borrowed CDs. So I now have ten of them to sort through before they're due back in four weeks.
On recommendation of Darth Snarky, I grabbed Motion City Soundtrack. I can safely report that they are a not at all bad example of that Jimmy Eat World style of perky guitar pop.
On recommendation of Windrose, I grabbed the new White Stripes. (I like Fell in Love With a Girl, possibly mostly because of the punk kittens, but had been unimpressed by later offerings.) It's creative and quirky and I'm liking it. Listening to Doorbell I thought "hunh, Jack sounds an awful lot like Robert Plant in this song". And I imagined it done with more guitar and perhaps some hobbits, which amused me. And then Denial Twist Instinct Blues came on, which sounds a lot like Doorbell with electric guitar. Still no hobbits, but I can no longer imagine that it is co-incidental.

I have, thanks to moses, two free Rhapsody downloads. I may use them to plug holes in that '80s disc. Like Sly Fox or Maxwell, the one-hit wonders, or maybe Brass in Pocket which never made the transition to my CD collection. (I do have Don't Get Me Wrong and I've Got You Babe in the collection for Chrissy Hynde, but....)
