Starting up a brand new day
Jan. 2nd, 2007 12:50 pmIt must be a new year.
a. I went to the gym last night. First time in nearly a month.
b. I got home and wrote six pages of not-unreadable stuff. Of course, this means I went to sleep at around four in the morning...
c. Despite a one-day weekend, I pretty much got done the stuff that absolutely had to be done and met some social obligations.
d. Picked up the clean laundry that's been languishing around my bed for weeks. And I even put it away rather than tossing it into a closet or a box or something.
e. Less crap food in the diet already. Going grocery shopping seems to be a key element in that. Who'd have thunk?
Also, weigh in last night said I've lost nearly twenty pounds since Feb of '05.
I am now using something called broccoli slaw instead of broccoli in my salads. This is because it's quicker to prep, it's easier to eat, and it doesn't go funky as quickly. I need to look up and find out what kind of nutritional difference there is between stem and flower, however. I suspect that the stem is nothing but fiber. q:
Will and Emma are passing this around, and I'd like to play in this meme. In the comments, tell me what you like about you. Not what you like about me. Personally, I'm only hosting because I'm still not prepared to admit that there are things I like about me. But that may change.
