cyrano: (Coyote Rocket)
Auto update:
It looks like my sunglasses have indeed gone walkabout sometime during the whole mechanic adventure. I'm hoping they're not expensive to replace.
You know those useless license plate frames that serve as advertizing for whatever car lot you bought your car from? When the mechanic removed the splintered half of the 'Thomas Ford' frame while he was replacing my front bumper, he replaced it with one that declares me a Berkeley alumnus. I'm just kind of impressed that he twisted the license plate into a shape that could get framed again.

Hah! A hah ha hah!
They called me mad! They said it would never work! But I have forced technology to do my bidding and made Photoshop dance to the tune *I* play! I! Am! God!

(Well. Mostly the tune I play. I wanted the whole background to be a blue wash, but I am not yet that talented.)

I loaded up some tofu nuggets for lunch along with a jar of mandarin orange sauce that I was looking forward to trying, and raced out the door because as usual I was running late. So, since I was late, this was the day my strap on my bag slipped and the glass jar plummeted out and shattered on the cement. So I had to stop and clean glass shards out of the gooey mess. Sticky hands, still late, and no orange sauce. moo.
However, roisnoir has invited me over after work for Chinese food and a backrub and I think that puts me firmly in the credit column for today. Also, I will get to hear DeVotchKa, which sounds like a Romani/klezmer/mariachi/punk band.

EDIT:
In less newsworthy news, I also finished a second CD cover. But it was just resize cut paste type and done. So it's not as triumphant.
Aaaand apparently I can't insert the image into the post because this computer is older than Eniac. So.
