Quick reviews:
The Streets--Hardest Way to Make an Easy Living
Generally unimpressed. Above average rapper, but still a rapper. The biggest plus here is that I find something appealing about a rap done with a London accent.
Apoptygma Berzerk--Harmonizer
You would think that an album with tracks named 'Photoshop Sucks' and 'More Serotonin Please' would be more entertaining than it is. You would be wrong.
Susan Tedeschi--Hope and Desire
Enjoying this one. Comfortable, well crafted album. It's surprizing to find an album of covers of which I am unfamiliar with all of them, but it happens.
Kiss Kiss Bang Bang
After having it in the Netflix box for five months, I finally actually watched it. And enjoyed it. I like the inept hero who still tries hard, and I loved the meta play with the narrator.
Smith and Jones
Episode one series three of the new Doctor Who. Very much a 'starting over' story. I'm concerned that the new companion has a *lot* of ties to Real Life, but quite pleased overall. Which is good, after the 'Torchwood' debacle.
Hellboy--Iron and Blood
The first animated episode was enjoyable enough that I put an effort into seeing the second. The second dramatically improved on the first, with much better story telling and much warmer more engaging dialogue.
Life
I'm considering sending it back for store credit. Tedious, lacking in direction, painful to watch, and the whole 'misfortune befalls wacky male lead' joke got old years back. Only saving grace is the supporting cast, who are amazing.
