Can you scare me up a little bit of love?

In honor of Windrose's short story submission, this week's IFAMAQ will have a literary option: You may ask me a question as a character in any novel (although the answer will be probably better if I've read the novel in question) and I shall attempt to answer in as fine a form as I can manage.

Traditional 'ask me a question' questions are of course still welcome.

If I can't have everything, well then just give me a taste.

I had a counselling session this afternoon that I'm very pleased about. But for entirely unconventional reasons.
I have to be at work at ten tomorrow morning. But after work I get one last visit up in the PNW and maybe some book shopping. (:
Between today and Tuesday I expect I'll be making a lot of less-healthy more-expensive food choices. But I've made my choices and I think I'll live. That'll actually probably be a running theme over the next two and a half weeks--things are going to be a bit crazy and catch-as-catch-can while I try to exploit my flying benefits and squeeze in things like grocery shopping and laundry as best I can.
If you're used to certain behaviors and social contacts from me, I apologize in advance if I fail to meet expectations and promise that I'll get better.
