It's a thousand pages, give or take a few

Hunh. I don't have a 'writing' tag yet. Says something about how often I remember to use them.

Anyway. I think I have a plot. But I need tropes to skewer. I need anime tropes, specifically the 'Japanese Schoolgirl goes to an alternate dimension gains superpowers and saves it' tropes.
I realize that much will be lost in translation between animated television and words on a page, but that's a risk I'm willing to take, dammit.

Bits and Bobs

New photo gallery.
It's got the last of the photos on the road back from Ashland, pictures of the car for MoStuff, and shots of my cube, including plants and posters and spider.

Oh yeah, when I came back from Ashland they moved me back into my old cube. Carol needed out from under the air vent.

The ACT people finally called me back today. I found out that for an extra $40 I could get a membership to the entire remainder of the season. Why not?
So I know there's a lot of interest in the last two plays of the season. We'll probably organize a group outing for that as well. Rainmaker is the seventeenth of November. People should let me know which shows they want to pony up for second balcony seating for, and I'll throw dice or draw straws or set up an eBay auction if there's more than one person interested.

I think I got the retarded agent. He said I couldn't order the membership unless I gave him dates for every single show right that moment. And then he said they all had to be at the same point in the cycle (Saturday opening weekend, or Sunday matinee the third week or Thursday closing weekend) for all of the plays. But if I wanted, I could change them later. I almost asked to be transferred to a supervisor. On top of it all, I'm getting laryngitis and he had a thick accent.

So yeah, I called the doctor. I'm four days into the five day antibiotics course and don't notice a real improvement. *My* doctor went on sabbatical between the time I visited her and today. Her substitute said it sounded like I was doing everything right, and the next step was codeine. So I have cherry flavored codeine now.

I stopped by the NNWM get-to-know-ya after work, and met the other insane people. It was too hot and too close but it was still nice.
