I have managed to unpack enough and get enough crap off the bed now that I can sleep in it. Certain evil people took me to a used bookstore this weekend.
I've put the Star Wars and Donnie Darko screenplays onto the 'to be read' bookshelf. And in a position of honor, on the 'to be read' section of the 'to be read' bookshelf, a 1903 pressing of the Century Magazine-commissioned book "Handbook of English Cathedrals" be Van Rensselaer. With illustrations, plans and diagrams.

The roar of the greasepaint

I still have two (and a half) tickets for the Tom Stoppard speaking engagement this Saturday. I can give them to transients loitering outside the auditorium, but I'd prefer to go with somebody I know.
I also have a second ticket for 'Speed the Plow', the Mamet play on the evening of the twenty-sixth (not the nineteenth as I'd originally thought).

With the storm front scheduled to break in South Bay right about the time I'd be riding home, I opted not to bike to work today. I am therefore going to try to make certain I get out for a walk after lunch.
After all, I wouldn't want to get home all drenched and chilled, because I'm turning right around (hopefully with time to eat at some point) and going to the Flames game! Yay for extra-fitting icon usage!
