File Under: No good deed goes unpunished

Apparently while I was purging my book collection I managed to unplug the extension cord that I use to run the space heater and recharge my cel phone.
The extension cord that I installed because the electrical socket is firmly and solidly behind the three bookshelves in that corner of my room somewhere.

But I went to the dentist for a few hours and now I have shiny new teeth. So that's nice. And tomorrow I get to go to the movies with Aelf. Don't tell her--I'm imagining in my head that she asked me out!

I finally figured it out--the reason I kept saying 'no' when people called Cloverfield a Godzilla movie. It's not Godzilla, it's Rosencrantz and Godzilla.
