Gotta look sharp
Feb. 22nd, 2009 12:29 amMany of you, especially those who would be interested in this post, have heard some of the story of the sad demise of the American Musical Theater of San Jose. They've declared bankruptcy, and the holdings are being disposed of next week. Beginning tomorrow, technically. This will apparently include computers, office equipment, power tools, steamer trunks, mannequins, and (of most keen interest to me) props, costumes, shoes.... oh my.
However, I don't think I'm going to get much out of this.
Inspection and auction are in the middle of my work day. And I need to spend a lot of time at work.
I'm certain I don't need to be spending money on wardrobe like this right now.
I'm afraid that the group running the auction aren't going to want to deal with auctioning off individual pieces, and are unlikely to separate lots by size. And I don't have the need or the storage space for costume stock that will allow me to re-cast Flower Drum Song.
However, in case some of you might have an interest, I wistfully post http://www.richwasser.com/auctions/upcoming-auctions/28-american-musical-theatre-of-san-jose-feb-24-aamp-25.html
