No time! To lose!
Aug. 1st, 2009 01:45 pmThe voting for the ENnies is about to close--you have until midnight tonight.
And for those of you who haven't heard, the ENnie awards are, arguably, the gaming industry's biggest and most prestigous awards. Game companies from around the world send in their products, and a panel of judges chooses their top few in each category. Those choices become the nominations, and are released to the public, who then vote on the winner. Anyone can vote (once per computer) and the voting ends on August 1st.
This is where you come in. My friend Jess is up for nomination in the Best Adventure category for her work The Rose Bride's Plight. The Rose-Bride's Plight is a murder mystery with a twist, that draws on elements of Snow White, Romeo and Juliet and introduces a dark and intriguing cast of characters for players to interact with. It is designed for use in a Changeling: The Lost game.
If you've played it, or read it, and loved it (or if you're certain that if you did, you would) then go to http://www.ennie-awards.com/voting/ballot.asp and let them know.
She's also worked on several other projects that she's very proud of and you may want to investigate, including Hunter:The Vigil which is up for a nomination under Best Rules and under Best Supplement.
I know that Evil Hat Productions is also nominated in categories, but Fred is not as cute as Jess and so I haven't arsed myself to get specifics like which category. (Best Writing and *Product of the Year*:Don't Lose Your Mind, a supplemental for Don't Rest Your Head::Best Setting:Swashbucklers of the Seven Skies and I'll also include One Bad Egg's vote-splitting nominations in Best E-Book, The Death Mother and Hard Boiled Armies.)
The big thing here is that you go to http://www.ennie-awards.com/voting/ballot.asp and you vote. And you should vote quickly because the rolls close in a matter of hours.
