More good news
Oct. 27th, 2009 01:14 amSo after a month of 'on hiatus' status with Unemployment, I got my 'between eight and ten' phone call to discuss the fact that I checked the box on my weekly report saying that I'd started class or training.
The idea being that this is the only way to ask if I can join the program where I go to school and keep getting unemployment checks. Unfortunately, since I didn't have approval I only signed up for the one class for now until I could talk to somebody. Unfortunately, since I only signed up for the one class, I'm not eligible for the program. Unfortunately, the phone lady said 'we only deal in the present, not the future' when I asked if I could sign up full time for Winter term. (Technically, they only deal in one month in the past.)
However, she did completely avoid answering my questions about the month where I didn't get paid my unemployment benefits, but assured me that I would start getting my weekly reports again. And then she had to go, to make more helpful phone calls to more pissed off people.
