Horrifying news from Arizona
Jan. 8th, 2011 03:29 pmI wanted to get caught up on the news and then post my "I'm back" post, but this...
Last report I heard was that Gabrielle Giffords is still alive.
I took interest in this campaign, not just because I know her sister but also because Giffords was a candidate who was largely Doing The Right Thing. I think it's ironic that the avenue used by the coward in question was her program to make herself available to her constituents.

Update: Home
Jan. 8th, 2011 06:19 pmOkay. I've taken over my own journal again (thanks to Amanda for helming things briefly) and I've had a few deep breaths.
I'm out of the hospital, and home with a pile of antibiotics THIIIIIIIIIIS big. I had a decadently long shower, scrubbing off all the gummy, grimy, and sweaty coating I'd collected. And now I plan to do very little for a while.
Those who were expecting a new radio programme on Twelfth Night waited in vain. Since we were already pushing it close to the 'February is for Lovers' content, I've decided to postpone January's programme until after St. Valentine's and post new programming (with pomp and great circumstance) in the next week.
EDIT: Got distracted.
Although I will not reply to everybody who sent me support and well wishes, I do want you to know that I deeply appreciated it. When I could only summon enough energy to turn my phone on and flip through mail, finding you all there made things better.
