Apparently, driving myself through a blizzard to the doctor's where he gave me a steroid shot that upped my energy levels and then gaming all night taxed my recovery.
After ten or twelve hours of sleep, I'm not coughing unless I talk, I'm not throwing up, and the aches are down considerably. However, plans to return to work tomorrow are now more tentative.

Also, this morning I was going over the lists of fashion travesties and wardrobe epiphanies from the Golden Globes, and I'm a little confused. I'm fairly certain there were men who attended this prestigious event--it's not like a Catholic girls' school--and yet, I found no photos and scathing commentaries on how, oh god, isn't this just another tired rehash of the black Armani tuxedo that Michael Douglas wore last year and does he really think that changing the cummerbund's color is going to fool anybody?
(PS: Brad Pitt, way to rock that black Ralph Lauren tuxedo, and I love the daring splash of color with the bow tie!)

We're live--in proto format, with only a two hour programme right now, but I'm turning m4as into mp3s and Phase I is taking shape nicely.

Just remember, if you don't tune in for most of the day and pimp me to people you meet then you don't really love me!

Well. I suppose that's a little manipulative. So never mind that. (But don't think I don't have my eye on you!) I should totally look into CafePress t-shirts. (:

Everybody who's been helping me for the past week or two, either the radio station or my health, thank you very much. I really appreciate it.

It is bedtime. I've worked valiantly on VitC, and overcome so many little bumps in the road that it reminded me of driving in Louisiana. I have a four and a half hour playlist, but I'm not entirely positive that it's live. I'll check that tomorrow. Also, oddly, a playlist that's 287MB on iTunes is only 123MB when stored online. I guessed there was some sort of online compression going on, but this kind of confirms it. (Yes, there were a couple of files that didn't make the transition, whether it was incompatible bandwidth (or something), or that whole stereo/mono thing which Anne helped me crack and which maybe tomorrow I can tinker with. But not 150 MB worth.) I also went through and converted most of my m4a files to mp3. (And then cursed iTunes for misfiling them. But we do that all the time.)
Also? I should make a note to log into the station email more often.
I've been up for almost twelve hours. I wonder if I'll be sleepy any time soon.
Tune in tomorrow for more self important nattering about nothing at all.
