eReader File Management
Apr. 24th, 2013 08:58 pmI have a Kindle and I like being able to stuff dozens of books into my purse as I rush out the door. However, file management is downright painful, both on the device and on the desktop where I store files that I may not want to read right this moment.
On the Kindle, file management seems to be "Here are some boxes. You can put books in them, and then write the name of the box on the outside. If you want to find a book, pick a box that looks promising, and then paw through it."
And on the computer, I have no boxes, just a big pile. I also have the sometimes cryptic file names rather than book titles.
Does anybody have suggestions, software or architecture or whatever, things that have worked for them in making this a little more pleasant? (He says, searching hither and yon for his copy of Dinocalypse Now.)
