Hot and cold
Nov. 25th, 2013 10:36 pmI finally got out of work, got home, had dinner, and then I made myself a Raspberry Kola (two fingers of Amaretto, 8oz of diet Coke, and two... splashes of raspberry syrup), grabbed a bottle of garlic olives, and trundled out onto the patio.
My weather fairy said it was 20o out there, but my feet were still in good shape once I got into the tub. The lid had frozen to the rim, so that was neat, and the wind was all "You are very cold now! Oh yes, so very cold!" And I sat in the tub, the steam washing over me, and I sneered. "I have a *cold drink* in one hand, and an olive jar straight from the fridge in the other." There were no stars, and no snow, so that was a little sad. But other than that, it was warmer than hanging out in my bedroom, and more relaxing.
The only problem is that I couldn't practice my guitar or read a book or futz around on my laptop or... much of anything but float in the tub and enjoy the sensation. I'd forgotten to bring music down too. So it wasn't very long before I pulled up stakes, closed the tub up, and went to do laundry. But it was still very relaxing.
