All by myself

When I was young, I would do things alone that people around me would never dream of doing, were vaguely horrified at the idea of going without at least one companion. Movies, concerts, karaoke, plays, events of that nature. I went because I wanted to go rather than because somebody else also wanted to go.

These days I still occasionally see a movie on my own but largely think 'Oh, I don't want to bother because if nobody else I know is there it won't be fun enough'. Pride night at Necto. The Big Sleep at the Redford. Twelfth Night on Fourth Night.

I suspect I was happier then.
