Ain't that a kick in the head?
Jun. 8th, 2005 01:52 amAnd now it's time for ADD update!
So last night I realized that it was a month until my birthday, and I haven't told anybody that this year I plan to allow/encourage people to make some sort of fuss about it. I have no idea what, or even if I'm going to make plans or just drop broad hints and plan to hang around the house that weekend so that people can randomly drop by and spend hours giving me pettin's. But there it is. Clear your schedules, and leave the month of July open.
Also last night (before WindRose's evilness ate my brain) I spent some time putting my family motto on an icon (finally!). And it pleased me greatly. The sleep dep probably played a large part in my enjoyment. (Now if only I can translate it into Latin...) But hey, so long as I'm happy everybody else can take a long walk off a short pier. Which is my other family motto. Perhaps more of a maxim.
Anyway. This weekend I'm going to try to get to my friend (and famous author) Jess' housecooling before she departs for more easterly climes. Fingers crossed.
And I always heard people complain that once they'd gotten into a relationship, people would come out of the undergrowth saying 'Hey, you're kind of cute'. I'd never seen this first hand until a couple of months ago, when I met Tess through OKCupid. And now I have three wonderful girlfriends, even if I still never see anybody because of my insane work schedule. (And one of them pointed me to my other new icon. (Warning: Delicate users may die of the ky00t.) There are some advantages to this poly thing.

Date: 2005-06-08 06:31 am (UTC)I don't know if I can keep all of July open, but I do like the idea of helping to host a Happy Birthday Cyrano Open House around or near the weekend of your birthday. :)
Also, I like your 'Sharp Teeth' icon. :)

Date: 2005-06-08 10:58 am (UTC)Because I asked for the sixteenth off (and now may not go q:) I can't request the ninth off. But I've still got Sunday and Monday. Or, if people are getting a three day weekend for the fourth, maybe I should go with that weekend.
Also, I like your 'Sharp Teeth' icon. :)
I'm glad it's not just me. (:

Date: 2005-06-08 11:23 am (UTC)I might have met Tess and Rachel but with no context, I wouldn't recognize them if they ran into me even in the apartment. :)
So, is September the one who you are seeing next weekend?

Date: 2005-06-08 11:24 am (UTC)Are their any gifty-type items available only in Portland, OR that you desire? I will be there with time on my hands mid-wedding.

Date: 2005-06-08 11:30 am (UTC)And the one I'm seeing next weekend is Jess, who I'm pretty sure is no longer my girlfriend but wouldn't mind if it worked out that way but she's moving to Massachusetts and so then I will never see her again *snif*.
