We're gonna have a good time

cyranoI really was going to go to the gym last night. I stopped by Safeway because I was all out of the fruity no calorie carbonated thingies. And then I looked at meat. And there were steaks. And I said to myself, 'Self, if you buy those steaks then you cannot go to the gym because then your entire car will smell like rotten steaks forever'. And so I pondered, and I said 'screw it' and did a full on shopping trip where I bought meat and cheese and hamburger helper and five bottles of vinegar because I would buy them anyway and they were on sale. I probably bought other things too. Anyway. Then I went home, and R came over and gave me birthday skritches which was really nice. And before I fell asleep on the couch, she herded me to bed and apparently tonight there will be birthday cake. Wai! Wai!
And it turns out it was probably a good thing I didn't go to the gym because I slept like crap. The standard stress/failure dream in which you show up for class and there's a test you didn't know about and you're utterly not prepared (which is odd because I don't usually have the 'Standard' stress/failure dreams, I have utterly different ones), and then several dreams about waking up and getting ready for work and by the time ten o'clock actually rolled around and I gave up and got out of bed, I was completely knackered. And then the news break comes that the first Serenity comic, due out today *ON MY BIRFDAY DAMMIT* has been pushed back a week because Joss is kind of a flake.
So all the lovely birthday wishes today have been wonderful and made me feel much much better although still tired and sore. Thank you, lovely lovely people. (: Now I must get showered and go to work. Zum!
