I like the beard, but you would need (imnsho) to keep the back of your hair short, for it to work. With a full beard and collar-length hair it starts looking more overgrown and less intentional. I like a full beard, if the haircut is maintained so it looks... intentional. And it is very flattering. I have to disagree with mnarra, though -- I do not like guys' moustaches* scratching the insides of my nostrils during smooches.
* I probably didn't pluralize that appropriately. I would normally only be smooching one guy at a time.
