Beneath the stain of time
Jul. 31st, 2005 01:32 amI suppose I should be grateful, all in all. Here I was complaining that I was going to be tired of going places, and now I'm not. Tonight's flights in to Chicago and Dulles left without taking a single space available passenger. And while I could try again tomorrow, through Denver, Chicago, Dulles, Phoenix or Atlanta, things don't look any better getting there. And then I'd have to try to get to Tampa (which is way too close to Disneyworld for summer travel I think) or just get stuck in Denver, Chicago, Dulles, Phoenix or Atlanta. And then there's the getting back.
So I'll be home, and now I have time off work that was going to be used visiting Windrose and now will be used for nothing. I'm not terribly pleased. In fact, I'm really bummed out and annoyed and not really at all happy. I was looking forward to this trip, back since when it was a trip to Colorado.
So I'm going to pretend as well as I can that I'm crammed into a tiny plane on the way to DC. And before the inflight movie starts I'm going to have the flight attendant bring me a few drinks.
EDIT: Mnarra, the last of the hunny cordial is still very smooth and sweet.
