Take the 'A' Train
Sep. 10th, 2001 12:20 amHome at last. Three hours in transit from the city, as life once again mocks my hatred for learning to drive.
Life also made certain I was aware of how vulnerable and fragile I am to the predations of others who would choose to take advantage of me.
Despite the fact that I never (that I know of) entered a more dangerous situation than walking past an accident that had already happened (a motorbike had plowed into the side of a car at an intersection) I several times felt rather anxious and unsafe.
More tomorrow, likely, while I wait for out-of-towners so I can play sherpa.
