Okay, so I'm watching the trailers, and really looking forward to 'Walk the Line'.
Mmm. Joaquin Phoenix. Johnny Cash.
(Hee. Hearing him say "Hello. I'm Johnny Cash." Gives me little chills. OH oh oh, and when he says "You think maybe they forgot?" I love that part.)

My dad worked at San Quentin prison while I was a baby, during the time period that Johnny Cash performed one of his most famous concerts there. My mom is/was such a big Cash fan that if there were a way to smuggle herself into the prison for the concert, she'd have done it. I grew up listening (reluctantly at first, but I eventually came to enjoy it) to the LP they recorded at that concert, picturing my dad there listening, guarding all the prisoners.

I really really want to see this.

Um. 13 December? I'm probably good for that.... Except I think it's like a Tuesday. Monday the 28th? (Sunday the 27th is still inside the 10 day limit I believe.)

Hrmm... for some reason, I thought that the movie opened November 18.

It's quite possible it opens on the 18th. Which means that ten days after, when my passes become valid, would be the 28th. We could still try for the 13th but it would have to be before work because that's a Tuesday.
I feel I'm missing a fairly significant part of the communication here.
