cyranoNo telemarketing job. After my interview, the guy decided he needed somebody who had experience hawking hitek crap over the phone. But. To make it up to me, OfficeTeam has offered me a one-day gig working an art show this weekend. It means I don't get to play Feng Shui in Megs' campaign, but as a grup I have to learn to make these responsible trade offs. Besides, I get to dress up and hopefully the place is air conditioned.
Tonight was the first Cowboy BeBop viewing at Stately Wayne Manor. Soon we will get to episodes I haven't seen. Lots of people in the house, nice semi-social activity, and Angie getting more of her anime-coloured crack into circulation.
Tomorrow is Bound. Since I have no car, I may not be going. We'll see.
Saturday is Ren Fair. If the group is as large as it sounds, I may pass. I got up there earlier this summer, and have a strong aversion to hordes of people, especially on a hot and dusty day. And Sunday is work.
I feel very much like a passenger in my life right now, just trying to keep up with what's expected. When I get cash I'll contract for a third driving lesson. Alan fell asleep during the last lesson, and this didn't make me feel more secure. I didn't say anything during the lesson because it would have made me stressed out and at the time I felt like I had my shit pretty together and didn't want to risk that. (A couple of times I almost pulled over and told him to drive me home. But I pretended to be capable.) I don't know now whether to find a new school or what. But at the moment it's a moot point. And today I'm clinging to a piece of flotsam that's swirling down the Santiam headed for Boxcar Hollow.
