Wonderful clever brave and observent Megs has led me to what may become seasonal employment.

Debbi Lynn's Closet is looking for folks to work through Novermber, seeing as it's That Time Of Year. I went in yesterday to fill out an application, and forty minutes later the owner called to set up an interview.
Of course, I mentioned stage makeup experience, costuming experience, retail and inventory experience, SCA, GBACG, CCT acting and directing and rudimentary experience with sewing. I'd like to imagine that I heard her salivating over the phone.
She said she couldn't afford to pay what I was making, I said nobody can afford to pay what I was making, she said she didn't make what I was making, and we agreed that it was a sad state of affairs. She said I could probably work as many hours as I wanted, and that likely most of my hours could be during the day during the week if I wanted too. She also said 'Every year, some of the seasonal people rise to the top like cream. And some of them are out the door on November second.' I believe there's a chance for permanent (even if it's part time) work. I wonder what the pay is actually like.
So I have an interview (and possibly my first day) tomorrow at ten. I like the atmosphere there, from the times before that I've been in as a customer. Plus, as Megs says, they won't ask me to cut my hair.

Like the 'conservative professionals' at AMC Theatres. (Theatres, by the way, boys, show plays. Cinemas show films. Take a note, there will be a test.) The AMC Look. Bah.

Enh. So I have four hours until gaming starts and the only thing I know is that I'm not running Ar Noir because an important PC's player is out of town this week. I depart.
