cyrano: (Demons of Stupid)

Thank you to my smart iTunes using friends. It looks like I screwed myself over, by not reading the documentation closely enough. All the files are there, they're just renamed and juggled about. So in order to put things back where I want them, I'll just spend a weekend tinkering and arranging--I've done it before, I can do it again. And from there I can rebuild my playlists. And I am unchecking the two boxes that allowed me to screw myself over so magnificently. Because, despite my distrust and annoyance with it, I have not seen the mind-numbing slowness and CPU choking that MMJB has started to produce as my library grows larger.
It means that some of you who are expecting mix discs may have to wait longer than expected, though. Them's the breaks.

Netflix review: Trick: A story about two guys trying to make it in the big city
Adorable in that way that usually comes off as cloying and stilted, overly cute. Maybe I can only stomach it in 'gay' movies. Or maybe only movies with two guys can do it convincingly. Miss Coco Peru (Of To Wong Foo fame) steals her scene, and even Tori Spelling is... dare I say it? Delightful.
Three wags, says CineCyrano.

I had the exact same experience with MMJB and iTunes, but ended up giving in to iTunes and have been very very very very happy with it. But this is because I love dynamic playlists.

Tell me more--what's a dynamic playlist?

I hate losing track of comments for weeks and weeks!

Has the glory of dynamic playlists (I think iTunes calls them 'smart playlists') been revealed to you yet?

Ummm. Sort of. Like you give it parameters and it puts anything in your library within those parameters into a playlist?
I figure 'Recently Played' is one of those.

Yes, those! I like doing entertaining things with them, like finding all songs with the word 'heart' or whatever. I am someone who likes fiddly things and the dynamic playlists are endlessly, endlessly fiddly.
