Nah, it was just the whole President Bush saying "I don't know where he is and I don't care" and the talking points telling us how we don't want him Dead Or Alive any more because we sure showed him how tough we were and why are we still talking about this guy anyway? until election time rolls around and we need somebody to frighten us into voting Big Daddy Party again.

Bush and Co. seem to never tire of trotting out the same-old fear mongering, even though it's not working anymore. Hurricane Katrina showed the American people the federal government is not prepared for a natural disaster, much less a terrorist attack.

The pathetic attempts to tie Iraq with the so-called "War On Terror" is also not working, but it's all they've got. There are no good things they can point to and no way to fix all the bad shit they've done, so they try the same tired rhetoric and hope the American people will swallow their crap yet again.

I really hope the Democrats start getting really nasty and bring up everything. Regaining control of one house means all the criminal investigations can move forward, the investigations they have been holding back using procedural dirty tricks.

Then the shit will really hit the fan.

What worries me is Cheney and Rumsfeld starting a new war with Iran without asking Congress or the American people. They are just arrogant enough to try it.
