Accoding to the Housing Authority of Santa Clara County, there are now only 54,647 people ahead of me to be processed for housing assistance. Which is over 100 fewer than there were this fall. At this rate, I should be eligible for a consultation before 2165. I do not know if my children will inherit my number or not.

And according to the DMV they cannot access any information on me based simply on my name, social security number, driver's license number or the thumb print they forced out of me upon my last visit, and if I don't have my license plate number they simply have no idea how much my registration fees are nor when they are due.

There's a Financial Aid seminar on the fourth, and I think I'll be able to get the time off work to attend. This month of all work and no play is paying off in a lot of ways.

EDIT:
I forgot to mention that Esmerel is Shocked, Shocked I say, to discover that Corporate funding may influence results of scientific studies!

We're on that list too... I hope moving out of state doesn't hurt our odds. I think we will get help in 50 years.

Did you remember to file change-of-address paperwork with them before you moved? That's very important in staying in their good graces. (Fifty years? That puts you guys about a century ahead of me currently.)

Those numbers would be funny, if they weren't.

I ran into the industry-funding thing myself just today--I was looking for studies that back up the current truth-meme "chocolate milk is the best after-endurance-training recovery beverage". I first found a study that showed incredible benefits. Turns out it was funded by the dairy council and only compared itself to gatorade and another carby drink, not other carb+protein drinks. Duh.

However, other studies do back up the chocolate milk theory even when compared to commercial sports recovery drinks, so bring on the chocomoo juice!
