Today will be an industrious day. Going by Debbi Lynn's to look at hats, perhaps eye patches. Grocery shopping. Laundry. The pharmacy needs to talk to my doctor so prescription refill will have to wait. Perhaps unpacking some. I've been up all night accomplishing nothing so I should have plenty of energy. And I am certainly not spending two hours staring at financial aid information, paralyzed while inside I am screaming, screaming, screaming. That is some other coyote. He just looks like me.
The trip home was nothing like the trip out. Each flight was the one I had planned to take. I devoured 'Nightwatch', which Rose loaned me. (Much as she has loaned me her favorite digital camera.) I have decided that I really don't want to run an RPG in that world--far too much politicking and subterfuge. In film news, I found Helen Mirrin's performance in 'The Queen' to be a bit more satisfying than Kevin Costner's. I found it interesting that the airline edit included erasing any mention of the word 'god', and was curious whether that was only done when referencing a specific god--if they might screen an edited version of "***s and Monsters", or perhaps bleep somebody saying "By Jove!" and spent some time pondering the parameters.
I feel certain there was more that I was going to say here, but I am not much for the thinking and this may be more social than I'm interested in at the moment.
EDIT:
It only took fifteen seconds after signing off.
Before I left on holiday, the doctor called about my bloodwork, and we will have further discussions on the fifth. She is pleased that the blood sugar levels are down (Fasting Glucose down from 116 to 105) which means I'll likely have to keep taking the glucophage. However, despite reducing the meat in my diet, my triglycerides are much too high for her comfort, (774 a year ago, 567 and 703 this winter) and we'll be discussing medication for *that*. q: This is something I am genetically predisposed toward and so I can't say as I'm tremendously surprized. (Total cholesterol levels are dropping--299/273/250--and so I hope that's good.)

Date: 2007-02-01 12:09 am (UTC)I think my favorite line is *Bleep* bless you.
The company that censors movies for the airlines had hired a new guy who didn't understand that he was only supposed to bleep out the name of God when it is used as profanity. That *Bleep* employee cost the company money and they have sent out non-edited versions and correctly edited versions to the airlines.
I am actually suprised that you got to see the broken one.
Well... I am glad you are back and hope you get to feeling better.
