This week, after watching the Colbert Report and discovering that he doesn't have a favorite lesbian, I've decided that today there will be a twist on IFAMAQD--IFIAYAQD!
Who's your favorite lesbian?
I've decided that bisexuals count, because all the cool kids are bisexuals. For those of you who need a little help, here's a quick list of famous lesbians. But if your beloved aunt is your favorite then by all means choose her.
Once you've completed the first half (or even if you haven't) feel free to proceed to the regularly scheduled IFAMAQD! festivities and ask me a question. (It is, after all, Friday.)

Boy, make it all hard to choose, why don't you? =) I have a lot of respect for both Virginia Woolf and Eleanor Roosevelt, and Melissa Etheridge is just plain cool, but there are so many other good choices both on and off the list.

Can I pick myself? *halo*

You're certainly very high on *my* list. Even if you've stopped posting pictures of yourself in sexy outfits. (:

I admit, I've sort of settled down and become rather more boring of late. Brian's been showing some interest in photography, however, so perhaps I'll see if I can pull out the ol' corset-and-stockings getup again and convince him to snap a few shots...

Brian, if there's anything I can do to facilitate this budding new hobby of yours, do just let me know. (:

He actually has his own blog (lj user=likable_lemur), but he's kind of sporadic about updating it, so I don't know if he's mentioned this or not.

Erm, ([livejournal.com profile] likable_lemur). Sorry, forgot the carats.

Oh! I'll have to add him and hope that it doesn't weird him out. (:

She's second on my list. First place, well, she knows who she is, and I bet you do too. :-)

Meh. He's pretty laid-back, even if he doesn't get particularly turned on by lesbians (*grumble*). So I doubt he'll mind. I just wish he'd update more - he's really a great writer.

Oh, and by the way, can I just relate how terribly pleased I was this morning when you added me. (:
I *know* LJ isn't a popularity contest (that would be MySpace) but when quality folks join my cadre, it makes me quite happy.

Aw, thanks. =) I've dropped by your LJ a couple times before, and while (as I state in my user info) I tend to be kind of hermetic when it comes to online interaction, I'd been thinking lately how boring my friendslist is - about the only folks who update regularly are those on feeds. That, and I figured that anyone who's continually listened to the various pontificating/bitching/recording-for-posterity that makes up my blog for the past year (two years?) probably deserves to have me listen back for a while.

Actually, my mom had a 2nd cousin that I never met that only got mentioned once or twice because the family wouldn't talk about her. She apparently lived in Alaska with her girlfriend and some arctic foxes.

It's the arctic foxes that do it... ^_^

Hmmm... tough... I totally dig Margaret Cho... Josephine Baker and Eleanor Roosevelt were awesome, and I would have loved to have met them! Drew Barrymore and Angelina Jolie are oh so hot!!

Though, my favorite lesbian would have to be Ty Greenstein. :D Close second- Doris Muramatsu. ;-)

I'm going through Girlyman withdrawls.

Wow. Brave of her to live in Alaska, given what the general attitude towards gays seems to be here.

no idea if that's really where she was, or what. but i was given to understand that she was the middle-of-nowhere sort. Which was probably the excuse the grandparents used for never mentioning her.

My pick: cyranocyrano, if cyranocyrano qualifies. If not, I'll use up a protest to the judges, then pick Sinéad O'Connor.

My Friday question: What item, that currently to the best of your knowledge does not yet exist but could be invented in the near future, do you want now?

Well, my favorite lesbian is probably one of my WGS professors. As for my favorite famous lesbian, I like Sara Gilbert. I always identified with Darlene from Roseanne.

Speaking of Roseanne, what's your favorite episode?

Ummm.
I think it's that one where Roseanne is outspoken and sardonic and her husband is genially amusing.
(My mom loved the show, so I know I've seen a few episodes, but I don't really remember specifically.)

I used to identify as 'lesbian in a man's body' before I found out it was something frat boys said. (Also, Jenny on GarouMUSH would qualify.) So I accept your answer!

What I want (and might also be in my price range to actually have) would be a cel phone that could use mp3s from my computer as ring tones. Alternately, I want an impeachment trial and a President Pelosi.

It definitely broke ground and pushed boundaries in the sitcom world, and that was impressive.

Their new CD is $30! I love them but I cannot justify $30 for a single CD.

It's $15 plus $3.50 shipping and handling. I just ordered it.... I guess it came down in price or something? ;-)
