When will I finally learn to never under any circumstances download any kind of software upgrades for anything? FireFox 2.0.0.4 either starts with asking me if I'd like to resume my session or start a new one (either way it doesn't matter because NOTHING HAPPENS) or it opens a tiny blank box in the upper left hand corner of the monitor which never actually loads anything like a tool bar or a web page or anything.
I think I'm going back to Lynx.

EDIT: I appear to have isolated the thing that was breaking it and banished the breaky thing.
